CAIRO (Reuters) -Iran’s assault on Israel drew applause from many Palestinians in Gaza on Sunday as uncommon payback for the Israeli offensive on their enclave, though some mentioned they suspected Tehran had staged the assault extra for present than to inflict actual harm.

Footage circulated from the enclave showed many residents, including inside displacement tents, whistling and others chanting Allah Akbar (God is the Greatest) in joy as the skies were lit up by Iranian rockets and Israeli interceptions.
“Whoever decides to assault Israel, dares to assault Israel at a time when the entire world acts in its service, is a hero within the eyes of Palestinians no matter whether or not we share their (Iran’s) ideology or not,” mentioned Majed Abu Hamza, 52, a father of seven, from Gaza Metropolis.
